Salary range (but not limited to):

44,700 - 54,700

Incentive plan

Commissions & other performance incentives: Expected, but not limited payout potential of 10-15% of salary (subject to personal and team performance)

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We are looking for a Personal Insurance Advisor to join our growing team at BrokerLink!

As a Personal Insurance Advisor, you'll build trusted relationships with clients and tailor coverage solutions to protect what matters most. You will play an essential role in serving the community and providing exceptional service to our customers, whether they visit in person or reach out by phone.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not already hold an AIC General insurance license, you must be prepared to study for and pass the provincial insurance licensing exam.

This is a full-time permanent position that will be on-site in ourOkotoks, AB office at 14 McRae Street.

Your work schedule:35 hours a week. Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

What you'll do here:

  • Service on-going client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls and process renewals.

  • Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business.

  • Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters and receive walk-in clients.

  • Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy.

  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and review renewals.

  • Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes.

  • Actively participate in training initiatives.

  • Participate in community marketing initiatives.

  • Process Account Receivable activities.

  • Provide guidance and assistance as requested.

What you bring to the table:

  • High School and or Post-Secondary Education.

  • Must have their Level 1 Alberta General Insurance License or willing to obtain.

  • Minimum 1-year Personal Insurance experience preferred.

  • Exposure to Epic is an asset.

  • Previous customer service, sales and/or call center experience.

  • Strong customer focus.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
