ABOUT OUR FINANCE DEPARTMENT

The Finance Department at BBB National Programs plays a vital role in supporting the organizationโ€™s operations and mission. The Finance team is responsible for all the finance and accounting activities in the organization, managing cash flow, forecasts, day-to-day accounting, and generating financial statements following generally accepted accounting principles.


YOUR IMPACT

The Accounting Manager is responsible for directing the organizationโ€™s core accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, the integrity of internal controls, and the efficiency of daily financial operations. This position functions as a primary liaison between the finance department and operational units, providing guidance to program managers and ensuring that financial practices are aligned with the organizationโ€™s strategic and operational objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

โ€ข Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections, to support timely receipt of funds and consistent cash flow.

โ€ข Oversee accounts payable functions to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and timely processing of vendor payments.

โ€ข Oversee payroll functions to ensure compliance, accurate compensation calculations, and timely employee payment.

โ€ข Administer the employee expense reimbursement process to ensure compliance with organizational policies and timely processing of submissions.

โ€ข Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.

โ€ข Maintain and enhance financial close procedures to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and overall process effectiveness.

โ€ข Collaborate closely with program managers to deliver financial insights and support effective budgeting and program execution.

โ€ข Serve as a liaison between operational and finance teams to ensure clear communication, alignment, and coordinated decision-making.

โ€ข Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, organizational policies, and all relevant regulatory requirements.

โ€ข Support audit activities and maintain strong internal controls to ensure effectiveness across all accounting functions.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Must have:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

โ€ข Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.

โ€ข 5+ Years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years overseeing accounting operations.

โ€ข Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

โ€ข Experience managing full-cycle accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, and close processes.

โ€ข Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

โ€ข Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

โ€ข Ability to streamline processes and implement improvements.

โ€ข High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.
