Operations Department Representative

Onsite: Operations Department; 220 West Union Avenue; Bound Brook, NJ

Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 8:30 am โ€“ 4:30 pm

Thursdays 8:30 am โ€“ 5:00 pm

Fridays 8:30 am โ€“ 4:00 pm

Qualifications:

At least one year experience working in branch or operations banking in a US bank.

Familiarity with US banking consumer products and regulations preferred.

Familiarity with Fiserv-Cleartouch software preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent in-person, email and telephone support to Somerset Regal Bank customers and employees for Operations Department services.

Responsible for the DDA (demand deposit account) activity:

Completion of the daily DDA Rejects.

Adjustments including encoding correction(s) and check adjustments.

Generate and distribute various Business Analytics reports and/or notices to appropriate staff members or customers.

Oversee the daily handling/processing/submission of overdrafts and uncollected funds, returned deposited items, altered/fictious or forged check processing, file alterations report, duplicate item report and processing of Official Check Stop Payments.

Manage and review the Harland Clarke checking printing account. Assist staff and customers in ordering and/or re-order personal and business checks.

Initiate and follow through with the recovery process of forged and altered checks by submitting appropriate documentation to the clearing entity

Review, approve, and address errors, if necessary, ACH origination requests submitted by business online customers

Review, approve, and address errors, if necessary, Wire origination requests submitted by business online customers

Search incoming levy requests for possible hits, advise branch to seize funds, notify levying entity, and turn over or return funds as required

Provide direct assistance to the Operations Supervisor as needed

Collect and review for accuracy, Monthly Branch Audit reports submitted from the branches and provide to the Retail Banking Manager

Review and process monthly Fiserv processing charges provided by the President/CEO

Generate and print daily reports from Snowflake/Business Analytics and distribute between branch staff, Operations staff and the Operations Supervisor

Collect and scan customer documents to the Nautilus cold storage system

Review and sort monthly "on hold" bank statements to appropriate departments including: Operations, Accounting, Marketing, the President/CEO, and branch offices.

Provide support through maintenance, troubleshooting, correction and resolution in areas that include, but not limited to:

Online Banking

Bill Payment

Mobile Banking

Telephone Banking

Zelle payment services

ACH (automated clearing house) i.e. payroll direct deposit, EFTs (electronic funds transfers)

IRA (individual retirement accounts)

Provide coverage to the reception area.

Maintain current knowledge of all position related procedures and compliance.

Comply with all Bank issued policies, including, but not limited to, the Information Security/Cybersecurity Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Internet Access and E-Mail Use Policy, and any other Information Security and/or Cybersecurity communications/directives received from Management.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management necessary to maintain an efficiently run office, including cross-training in other Department or Bank functions.

Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

May travel to Bank or other locations for job related functions.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

Efficient knowledge of standard office equipment operation, including a Personal Computer (PC) with email,
