Position Overview:

The Travel Insulation Leadย will manage the day-to-day activities of a team of laborers, carpenters, and helpers and is responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of services performed. Insualtion oversees the daily scaffold and insulation activities at the work sites, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials and progress of the project. The Superintendent needs to be familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures in specified discipline. Must be able to read blueprints. Ability to schedule out manpower as well as deal with emergency work with little to no notice. Manage Foreman in the field along with tracking the progress of the jobs. Lead the team in installation, assembly, dismantlement, maintenance, troubleshoot, and repairs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supervise the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular and system scaffolding or other temporary structures.
  • Candidate must be capable of meeting hth Competent Scaffold training requirements.
  • Create and track all scaffold tickets built onsite.
  • Responsible for the supervision of crews in a plant-based setting.
  • Organize crews, delegate job responsibilities, and verify that all appropriate equipment is available onsite to complete the job safely.
  • Driving and pulling equipment to various regional locations.
  • Engages with prospects and clients and vendors to determine their needs, recommending services that align with these requirements.
  • Demonstrates the functionality and benefits of services tailored to customer needs, emphasizing practical value and application.
  • Enforce jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Acts as a liaison for all site leadership in their region and maintains positive client relations.
  • Actively develops and maintains a high-performing team that is dedicated to customer service.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Must have five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in the construction/industrial field with some management experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable of scaffolding and insulation in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite or related software.

Training

  • Must be to complete an OSHA 30 hour within 60 days of starting at hth companies.

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
  • Ability to climb Ladders and stairways regularly throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to observe conditions and others as safety attendant staying alert while seated for long periods of time as needed.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other tools and equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Ability to perform inspections of site, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform behavioral observations focused on safety and process improvement.
  • Ability to follow safety protocol and to report any incident, unsafe act, or unsafe condition immediately to the site supervisor and safety manager.
