We are looking for a Production Manager for our Columbus, Ohio facility.

Summary: Results driven leader responsible for supervising team members in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Essential Duties:

· Safety – Ensure safe working environment in maintained.

· Ensure Quality of Product meets and exceeds Customer expectations. Ensure Quality records are maintained.

· Attainment of Production Schedule and forecast on time and in full.

· Accurate and timely reporting of Key Performance Indicators.

· Takes corrective action when the team’s daily output does not meet requirements.

· Attends all production management meetings as required.

· Ensure Production Confirmations are completed accurately and on time.

· Equipment – Manage and drive improvement in equipment reliability.

o Responsible for completion of all Preventative Maintenance requirements

o Reports maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor

· Training – Ensure adequate cross training to cover vacation leave and other absences.

· Production Planning – Liaise closely with Purchasing and Customer Service and Shipping to ensure cut lists and material are available for planned schedule.

· Personnel – Direct responsibility for team members.

o Ensure adequate resource in place to run processes with break cover.

o Communicate with Crew regarding performance against Company goals.

o Manage absenteeism, disciplinary issues etc. This includes working in accordance with the Collective Agreement regarding job postings and other matters.

o Ensure accurate recording of time and attendance for employees.

o Ensures that all rules / policies stated within the Employee Handbook, the Company Safety Programs and, any federal or state guidelines / laws are being adhered to.

· Housekeeping – Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

· Material Storage – Establish and maintain designated areas for storing raw materials and finished goods.

· Continuous Improvement - Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of department performance. Promote and sustain management programs designed to continuously improve internal processes.

· Inventory & Stock Control – Ensure Stock usage is correctly recorded on SAP through confirmations and any Bill of Material Changes are implemented.

· Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.

· Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

· College degree or five years’ experience in an assembly driven production environment with not high automation: perfect would be expierinece in insulated panel or related construction/metal building project

· Must be familiar with lean production.

Computer Skills:

· Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Outlook.

Other Skills and Requirements:

· High level of interpersonal skills.

· Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.

· Good telephone and oral communication skills.

· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
