SUMMARY: The Music Teacher (MT) creates a safe and cool environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential and insures that each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey. In support of that goal, the MT is responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons. The MT creates a dynamic lesson experience to ensure their students are challenged and inspired. The MT embodies rock and roll in a positive way and is responsible for creating the most valuable student lesson experience possible.
THE GIG: Part Time:
Music Instruction:
  • Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and group lessons for ages 4 to 99
  • Be sure the students are learning the fundamentals of music and not just songs
  • Create and Document thoughtful lesson plans
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons
  • Interact with parents and student regularly by being visible and accessible in school.
  • Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall executions of the program (e.g. assisting in rehearsals, basic maintenance of school, scheduling)
Report to: General Manager/Music Director
Candidate Requirements:
  • 1+ teaching experience. Plus 2+ performing music professionally
  • Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
  • Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
  • Must love kids
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic, Flexible, patient and positive demeanor
  • Must be comfortable singing and speaking in front of groups.
  • Energetic and friendly
  • Multi-Instrumentalist a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $150.00 per day
Expected hours: 8 โ€“ 20 per week
