TheField Service Technician Iis responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, performing preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibrating and verifying Hach devicesat our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e., drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e., power plants and food and beverage plants).

📍Portland, OR -remote.In this role, you will:
  • Performpreventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.

  • Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.

  • Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc....Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2) *

  • Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.

  • Follows safe work practices according to company policy.

  • Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.

  • Daily travel to customer sites. This role will be based in Portland, OR, area and support our customers throughout the territory. Company-paid travel, accommodations, and meals are provided for overnight stays.

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • HS Diploma required; Associates/technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair.

  • 2+ years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.

  • This position requires occasional rental of vehicles or booking of hotel rooms for business travel. A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to rent a car and/ or hotel rooms under applicable state law are required.

Travel Requirements:
  • This position requires daily travel to customer sites, typically within a 2-hour radius of the home office.

  • On average, 65% of weekly travel will include overnight stays.

  • Occasional travel to other states within the region is expected, with trips lasting up to one week at a time.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $29.00 - $31.00 USD per hour.
