Job Summary:

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced CAD drafter. The drafter is a professional who uses CAD software to create, edit, and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings and designs for electrical equipment manufacturing per client specs.

Job Duties:

  • Create engineering drawings using AutoCAD for electrical builds, modification projects, and upgrades or customization per client specs
  • Track assigned tasks and prioritized the completion of tasks accordingly
  • Maintain Company’s CAD standards and templates
  • Learn electrical equipment and client-specific equipment and their usage
  • Learn panel & component design from client-specific standards and NEC cut sheets if applicable
  • Learn wire sizing and design from client-specific standards and NEC
  • Read and analyze existing blueprints, construction drawings, and plans
  • Routinely produce accurate drawings promptly and efficiently
  • Ability to complete CAD drawings independently in a timely manner
  • Learn construction and design methods and best practices
  • Evaluate the design for constructability
  • Estimates material usage and additionally creates a bill of materials for design products

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two-year Drafting or Design, Manufacturing, Engineering or similar degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Two plus years of experience drafting electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD required
  • Able to read one lines and schematics required
  • Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision required
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
  • Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
  • Alignment with company core values required
