Job description

If you want to be part of a dynamic Instructor Team delivering engaging and cutting-edge training solutions, this is the place for you! We are currently seeking a HAMR Instructor in Hanover, MD. Instructors will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary Team delivering highly sophisticated, technical, hands-on training solutions to meet the mission and time-critical needs of our customers.

Work Schedule: (shift hours and days of the week)

Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Essential Responsibilities: (describe the day-to-day)

Instructors act both as subject matter experts, through lecture and lab work, as well as coaches for students - working not only to impart the expertise require to meet certification standard for their career path, but also how to be successful in mission when it counts. In addition,

  • The instructors work with the students to prepare them to meet the mission-critical needs of our customers.
  • The instructors monitor student performance on practical exercises and provide feedback to students.
  • Virtualization technology is employed heavily to simulate real-world scenarios that create an immersive cyber-environment for students.
  • The instructors work with a Team of multi-disciplinary professionals to make recommendations for updates to course content, training materials, and documentation.
  • Research, document, and test security solutions for emerging technologies, security methodologies, and CNE concepts.
  • Support the development of instruction of comprehensive, tactically relevant operational training, including the design, development, and implementation of training exercises and scenarios required to prepare students for operations.
  • Knowledge of the course map(s) for the course(s) that the personnel are supporting along with ability to update the course maps as the courses evolve.
  • Ability to create and update detailed schedule(s) for the course(s) that the personnel are supporting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • The position requires fully cleared individuals with an extensive range of experience, including the following:
    • Demonstrate knowledge of creating and configuring virtual hosts and networks using VMware in support of developing real-world scenarios.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of scenario development and Interactive Virtual learning module creation using tools such as VMWare VSphere, VMWare VCenter, Moodle Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used software programming languages (preferred Python, Ruby, and shell scripting).
    • Must have administration knowledge of setting up and maintaining commons Unix, Unix Variant, and Windows Servers.
    • The ability to perform trend analysis of student performances and identify material in the course that should be improved.
    • Ability to recommend and implement future course materials to keep courses current, to address the need to teach/test concepts in addition to specific tool usage, and to improve the student learning experience through the creation of exercise, design of demonstrations and creation of animated visual aids.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Math, Integrated systems & design, Education, Information systems, Cyber engineering, or related field is desired, but not required. Additional years of experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the development, testing, deployment, operations, training, or maintenance of electrical/electronic/software systems. An additional three (3) years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree for a total of five (5) years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in system design to include those designs pertaining to general networking systems.
  • Effective communication, writing, documentation, and requirements gatherings skills are needed to be effective in this role for working with other members of the Team and with the Customer to meet the requirements of the program.
  • Experience as a trainer or course developer for cyber courses.
  • Knowledge of web development.
  • Provide recommendations for technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Ability to recommend and implement future course materials to keep courses current, to address the need to teach/test concepts in addition to specific tool usage, and to improve the student learning experience through the creation of exercise, design of demonstrations and creation of animated visual aids.
  • Provides mentoring to junior Team Members.

$180,000 - $190,000
