Course: The first course of a non-calculus based two-course sequence in the basic principles of physics covering the areas of mechanics, thermal physics, and fluids.
Section B: 10:40 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. | Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays | On Campus
Term: Fall 2026 (September 3 - December 17)
Qualifications: A graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Physics or related field. Official transcripts due upon hire.
PHY 101L | Introductory Physics I Laboratory
Course: Lab component for PHY101, the first course of a non-calculus based two-course sequence in the basic principles of physics covering the areas of mechanics, thermal physics, and fluids.
Section E: 2:00 p.m. - 3:50 p.m. | Tuesdays | On Campus
Term: Fall 2026 (September 3 - December 17)
Qualifications: A degree in Physics or related field. Graduate degree preferred (M.S. or Ph.D.). Official transcripts due upon hire.
PHY 102 | Introductory Physics II
Course: The second course of a non-calculus based two-course sequence in the basic principles of physics including wave motion (oscillations, waves, and sound), light and optics, and electromagnetism.
Section B: 8:00 a.m. - 9:10 a.m. | Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays | On Campus
Term: Fall 2026 (September 3 - December 17)
Qualifications: A graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Physics or related field. Official transcripts due upon hire.
PHY 450 | Advanced Experimental Physics
Course: In this advanced physics lab course, students design and complete a research project, discuss general physics topics and physics research, and attend seminars by physics and engineering professionals. Preparation for employment and professional skills development are emphasized.
Section A: 8:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. | Tuesdays, Thursdays | On Campus
Term: Fall 2026 (September 3 - December 17)
Qualifications: A graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Physics or related field. Official transcripts due upon hire.
The College: The College of Arts and Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through seven departments - Communication and Sociology; Computational and Physical Sciences; English, Modern Languages and Philosophy; History, Political Sciences and Religious Studies; Life Sciences; and Visual and Performing Arts.
