Surgical Technology Instructor

Sole Hire, LLC is seeking passionate and experienced Surgical Technology Instructors to join the faculty at our partner campus in Rockford, Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to inspire and train the next generation of surgical technologists in a supportive, career-focused learning environment. Both full-time and adjunct opportunities are available. If you are a Certified Surgical Technologist ready to transition from the operating room to the classroomโ€”and want to make a lasting impact without nights, weekends, or on-call shiftsโ€”this is an excellent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lecture, lab, and clinical instruction following the established curriculum.
  • Maintain detailed lesson plans, course objectives, and evaluation standards.
  • Monitor attendance, participation, and academic progress, documenting per policy.
  • Grade assignments and return graded work within 48 hours of the due date.
  • Provide educational assistance and academic support during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure daily engagement and prompt grading/feedback for online components.
  • Attend required faculty meetings and serve on campus committees as assigned.
  • Maintain professional expertise through continued education and participation in professional development activities.
  • Uphold all academic and institutional policies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field.
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the operating room as a First Assist.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching or training experience in surgical technology or a related healthcare discipline.
