Title: Foster Care Specialists
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204
Duration: 6 months (with potential 6-month renewal, up to 12 months total)
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 37.5 hours/week; flexible start between 7:00 AMโ€“8:30 AM (7.5-hour days)
Pay Rate: Up to $25.67 on 1099ย

Essential Functions
Perform adoption eligibility tasks, including reviewing/processing status reports, preparing NRAE and finalization packets, managing electronic files, copying documents, opening/distributing mail, and preparing adoption payment files.
Answer inquiries from adoptive parents on case status with clear, compassionate communication.
Ensure all activities comply with federal and state policies, including Title IV-E (Foster Care and Adoption Assistance) eligibility determinations based on regulations.
Interpret/analyze fiscal data and family information to support funding recoveries.
Collaborate with Family Case Managers, supervisors, and Local Office Directors to clarify details for accurate determinations.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years consecutive experience in an administrative assistant role.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize/multitask.

Highly Desired Skills
Experience handling high levels of confidentiality.
Working knowledge of MaGIK and/or KidTracks systems.
Familiarity with federal/state regulations on child services and foster eligibility.
Additional Requirements
Local residency preferred (please specify candidate's city/state).

Must accept on-site schedule, duration, and pay terms.
