Location: Richmond, VA
Pay Rate: $20.00–$24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed

Join Our Team as an Installer!

We are seeking dependable, hardworking Installers to join our growing team. As an Installer, you will work with a crew to deliver, assemble, and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) at commercial customer locations. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with experience in furniture installation, construction, warehouse operations, or moving services.

The ideal Installer has experience reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, safely lifting heavy materials, and working as part of a team to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high level of workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities

Furniture Installation & Assembly

  • Assemble, install, and position furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) according to installation plans and customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, installation drawings, and work orders.
  • Install office furniture, modular furniture, shelving, workstations, fixtures, and commercial equipment.
  • Inspect completed installations to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform minor adjustments and troubleshoot installation issues as needed.
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools throughout the installation process.

Material Handling

  • Load, unload, transport, and stage furniture and equipment for installation.
  • Safely lift, carry, move, and position materials weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance when needed.
  • Protect customer property and equipment during transportation and installation.
  • Organize installation materials and maintain an orderly work area.

Customer Service

  • Maintain a professional attitude while working at customer locations.
  • Communicate project updates or installation concerns with the Crew Leader.
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at every job site.

Safety & Quality

  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Report damaged materials, safety concerns, or installation issues promptly.
  • Complete every installation according to company quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Installer, Furniture Installer, FF&E Installer, Construction Laborer, Warehouse Associate, or Mover preferred.
  • Blueprint reading experience is preferred.
  • Experience assembling and installing commercial furniture or fixtures is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, drills, impact drivers, and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 100 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day.

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday with occasional weekend work based on project needs.
  • Start Time: 7:00 AM
  • Employees work until the day's scheduled installations have been completed.
  • Overtime may be available depending on workload and customer schedules.

Daily Reporting

Crew members report each morning to the designated meeting location, where the installation team gathers before traveling together to customer job sites for the day's assignments.

Dress Code

  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Shorts are permitted.
  • Required PPE must be worn while on all job sites.
