As a Stoneside Installer, you will be responsible for maintaining all standards and procedures set forth by the Installation Team to deliver a five-star experience to our customers. This role involves working independently in residential and commercial environments, with support from our remote operations and design teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure windows and install Stoneside's blinds and shades for residential and commercial customers
  • Ensure all completed measures & installations are accurately documented & transmitted to the Install Team immediately upon completion
  • Adhere to scheduled appointments and arrive at all appointments on time
  • Follow all standards and procedures including material handling and work processes
  • Provide exceptional customer service, and remain friendly, polite, courteous, and professional
  • Identify solutions with installation orientation or placement of the shades on-site when necessary
  • Ensure all materials, field supplies, and equipment are maintained and accurately inventoried
  • Provide care for customers' property to ensure it remains protected and undamaged
  • Maintain timely communication with all Stoneside colleagues
  • Demonstrate the product in-home, review product operations, ensure the customer understands how to use the product properly and that the customer is satisfied
  • Pickup completed orders from our local warehouse
  • Deliver a five-star experience on every measure, install, or repair
  • Ability to travel at least one week a month to other markets around the US (Additional travel pay provided)

As a Member of our Installation Team, you will:
  • Receive extensive training to ensure you're equipped to deliver a five-star experience from day one
  • Receive a company provided van and gas card
  • Receive a company cell phone, tablet and all tools needed to perform your role
  • Maintain a Professional appearance and Customer-facing dress code:
  • Black, dark blue, grey or khaki pants/shorts (no jeans) and a black, grey or navy polo shirt (company polos provided within a few weeks of start). No rips or tears in pants/shorts or shirts.
  • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes required but no Crocs or similar type shoes. Tennis shoes are acceptable. Steel-toe boots are not required.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance, ensuring clothing and personal presentation are scent-neutral, when meeting with customers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of millwork, installation (cabinets, doors/windows, molding, flooring), finished carpentry, remodeling/renovations experience, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent telephone, written, and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all Stoneside teammates and customers
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety guidelines, and procedure manuals
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to read a tape measure and convert nominal measurements
  • Ability to work independently
  • A valid driver's license (Real ID-compliant) is required for job-related travel
  • Residence within 30 miles of inventory warehouse at 22370 Davis Drive, Sterling VA 20164

Compensation
  • This is based on hourly wages of $26.00 to $28.00 per hour.
  • Plus you have an opportunity to earn a performance bonus of $650 or more per month,
  • You can also participate in our quarterly gain share bonus.
  • And we guarantee at least 70 hours every two weeks.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Frequent use of ladders to reach high windows and mounting points. Must maintain balance while working at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Regularly required to bend, kneel, and crouch to access areas, secure brackets, and manage tools and materials
  • Must be able to reach overhead and perform precise hand movements to install hardware, adjust products, and operate tools
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day) while performing installations across multiple job sites
  • Frequent overhead reaching, arm rotation, and body twisting required to install hardware, adjust products, and maneuver in confined or awkward spaces
  • Fine motor skills required for handling small parts, screws, and tools with accuracy and safety
  • Must have sufficient vision to read measurements, use tools safely, and inspect completed installations for quality and alignment
  • Work may occur in hot, cold, dusty, or noisy environments
