Job description

The Installation Manager can implement design drawings, device schedules and submittals all based off of customer bids that are produced by our Pre-Sales Engineering department. Includes product compatibility with existing site conditions. Work to include many aspects of CCTV/Access Control/IP Intercom/Intrusion/Network knowledge.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees technical integration of security solutions to be installed by internal/contractor teams
  • On-site support when required due to field installation challenges
  • Provide detailed drawings and product submittals for general contractor review.
  • Post installation as built drawings
  • Review pre-sales approved proposals prior to field deployment
  • Technical support liaison with manufacturers to determine proper solutions when field installation issues arise
  • Post-Sales Engineering collaboration with Pre-Sales Engineering to implement customer goal requirements
  • Coordinates and establishes relationships with integrators and manufacturers
  • Coordinates with project management team for technical/scheduling conflicts
  • Technical training for installation teams when installing new technologies
  • On-site visits for Pre-Sales when required (10% of job)
  • General contractor collaboration during rough in phase of projects to ensure all security impacted disciplines are addressed
  • Systems include, but not limited to, Genetec/S2/Honeywell/Verkada/Kantech/Bosch/Axis/Milestone/Avigilon-Alta/Brivo-EE/Assa-Abbloy
  • 70% Design Engineering/10% Pre-Sales Quoting/20% Field Engineering

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
  • Experience using software driven technologies to better develop installation team installs
  • Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings
  • Ability to determine what type of technologies will be utilized for the field installation team
