Installation Structured Cabling Jobs in Ohio (NOW HIRING)

We are hiring Entry-Level Cable Technicians / Installers to support a large-scale government data center project. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to break into the low-voltage, structured cabling, and data center industry with long-term growth potential.

• Must be a U.S.-born citizen (required for government clearance eligibility)
• Must be comfortable commuting between Dublin, Hilliard, and New Albany
• Cannot have been previously employed by or badge-holder for a major cloud provider (including warehouse, delivery, or fulfillment roles)

As a Cable Technician, you will support the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems inside a data center environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Pulling, dressing, and labeling Cat5e/Cat6 cables following industry standards (TIA/EIA)
• Assisting with cable terminations (RJ45 connectors and patch panels)
• Performing basic punch-downs for telecom systems with guidance
• Supporting cable testing using tools like Fluke or EXFO (training provided)
• Assisting with fiber optic cable handling and routing
• Ensuring proper labeling and cable identification
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace
• Following direction from lead technicians and project supervisors

This is an entry-level role, but we’re seeking motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and interest in technical or construction-based work.

• Basic knowledge or exposure to:
  • Low-voltage or structured cabling
  • Cable installation (Cat5, Cat6, fiber)
  • Termination or punch-down work (preferred but not required)
• Background in construction, warehouse, or hands-on labor is highly valued
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
