Position Summary – Commercial HVAC Installation Manager

The Commercial HVAC Installation Manager oversees all aspects of the Commercial Construction Division, ensuring alignment between estimating, sales, project management, and field installation teams.

This role is responsible for:

The ideal candidate is highly organized, financially driven, and experienced in managing commercial HVAC installation teams and mechanical construction operations.


Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Project Oversight
  • Oversee daily operations of the Commercial Construction Division
  • Ensure commercial HVAC projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget
  • Coordinate with sales, estimating, and installation teams to ensure project scope alignment
  • Review project forecasts, labor budgets, revenue goals, and financial performance metrics
  • Manage estimate-to-actual cost tracking and profitability goals
  • Ensure proper execution of change orders and scope modifications
  • Participate in weekly operational and construction meetings
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop field supervisors, foremen, and installation teams
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with site leads and division personnel
  • Develop and execute quarterly departmental objectives
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee development
  • Oversee employee performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional communication across departments
Quality, Safety & Customer Relations
  • Enforce company quality standards and installation procedures
  • Maintain OSHA safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture
  • Ensure proper tools, equipment, and jobsite readiness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and trade partners
  • Support pre-construction meetings and project coordination efforts

Education and Experience

Requires a valid driver's license. Requires a high school diploma and/or equivalent. A working knowledge of basic carpentry, gas piping, electricity and air flow are required. Must possess a working knowledge of local codes and general industry standards. Strong supervisory, communications, computer and mathematical skills are required. Minimum of 5+ years previous HVAC experience as Install Manager.

Work Environment

Frequently works in outside weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet, snow, hot, and humid conditions. Subject to dark confined workspaces such as crawl spaces and attics. Office like work environment as well throughout the day.

Physical Demands

Light to heavy working conditions. Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel. Must be able to lift 100+ pounds at a time.

Supervisory Responsibility

Directly supervises employees in the Installation Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel

Regular travel should be expected between Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning and job sites. Travel should be expected within any of the following counties: King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson and Island. Travel to be expected primarily during normal business hours.
