Job description

Flooring Apprentice / Installation Helper

Build a Career, Not Just a Job

We're looking for a dependable, hard-working apprentice to join our growing flooring installation company. This is an opportunity to learn a skilled trade while working alongside experienced installers on high-end residential flooring projects.

If you enjoy working with your hands, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and aren't afraid of physical work, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), and laminate flooring installations

  • Safely operate and learn to use professional power tools and installation equipment

  • Load, unload, and organize flooring materials

  • Prepare job sites and maintain a clean, safe work environment

  • Move furniture and materials as needed

  • Learn proper installation techniques and safely operate professional tools

  • Help complete projects efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality

  • Represent our company professionally in customers' homes

What We're Looking For

  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude

  • Dependable with reliable transportation

  • Comfortable using or learning to safely operate power tools

  • Able to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly

  • Comfortable working on your knees and performing physical labor throughout the day

  • Willing to learn and take direction

  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality workmanship

  • Honest, respectful, and professional

  • Valid driver's license preferred

  • Availability to work occasional Saturdays when project schedules require it

No flooring experience? No problem. We're willing to train the right person with the right attitude.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay based on experience

  • Paid, hands-on training

  • Performance-based raises

  • Opportunity for advancement into a Lead Installer role

  • Consistent work with a growing, family-owned company

  • A team that values quality, reliability, and professionalism

This Position Is NOT for You If You:

  • Show up late or call in frequently

  • Spend more time on your phone than working

  • Cut corners or produce poor-quality work

  • Need constant supervision

  • Aren't willing to work hard

  • Aren't flexible when occasional Saturday work is needed

This Position IS for You If You:

  • Want to learn a valuable, in-demand trade

  • Enjoy building things and working with your hands

  • Like working with power tools and seeing the results of your work

  • Take pride in producing high-quality craftsmanship

  • Want a long-term career instead of just another job

  • Believe your reputation is built on your work ethic and integrity

We're looking for someone who wants to grow with our company. If you're dependable, coachable, and motivated, we'll provide the training, support, and opportunity to build a rewarding career in the flooring industry.

Why Work With Us?

We believe great work starts with great people. We're a family-owned flooring company built on integrity, craftsmanship, and treating people with respect. We don't cut corners, and we take pride in delivering exceptional results for every customer.

When you join our team, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn a skilled trade that's always in demand

  • Work directly alongside experienced installers who are invested in your success

  • Gain hands-on experience with professional tools and installation techniques

  • Grow within the company based on your work ethic and performance—not office politics

  • Be part of a team that values reliability, accountability, and quality craftsmanship

  • Take pride in seeing the finished product at the end of each day

We're looking for someone who wants more than just a paycheck. If you're motivated, dependable, and eager to learn, we'll invest in your growth and help you build a rewarding career in the flooring industry.
