Impact Signs is a full-service electric signage company specializing in design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of high-visibility signage (channel letters, pylon signs, digital message boards, etc.). Position Title: Installation Tech
(Lead and Helper positions available)

Department: Install

Reports To: Install Manager

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

FLSA Status: Exempt – Full Time

Position Overview

As a Sign Installation Technician, you will assist in the safe and accurate installation of electrical and non-electrical signage. You’ll work with a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles, supporting both small- and large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Installer Requirements
  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)Required

  • 2–3 years of sign installation experience- preferred but not required with right skill set

  • Ability to read and understand sign drawings and specifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Proficient in operating bucket trucks, cranes, and general sign equipment

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and installation procedures

  • Ability to coordinate jobs, delegate tasks, and manage onsite workflow

  • OSHA 10- preferred but not required


Installer Helper Requirements
  • Previous experience in construction, electrical, or sign-related work preferred

  • Willingness to learn and take direction

  • Ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions

  • Strong work ethic and teamwork mindset

  • Basic hand and power tool knowledge


General Responsibilities (All Roles)
  • Install and service a variety of signage types

  • Follow safety guidelines and company procedures

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles

  • Communicate effectively with team members and project managers

  • Provide excellent customer service onsite
