POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Retail Installation Coordinator / Manager to oversee and coordinate field installation and merchandising teams completing projects at major national retail locations, including Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, and similar retailers.

This position is responsible for coordinating technicians, assigning locations and work, monitoring project progress, communicating with field personnel, resolving issues, and ensuring installations are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple technicians and locations simultaneously, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate daily activities for traveling retail installation and merchandising technicians.

Assign technicians to specific stores, projects, and installation tasks.

Communicate project schedules, instructions, locations, and expectations to field personnel.

Monitor technician attendance, arrival times, progress, and project completion.

Serve as the primary point of contact for field technicians during active projects.

Track project status across multiple retail locations.

Coordinate travel, scheduling, lodging, and other logistics as needed.

Monitor installation quality and ensure work is completed according to project specifications.

Review photographs and completion documentation submitted by technicians.

Follow up on incomplete, incorrect, or missed work.

Troubleshoot field issues and coordinate solutions quickly.

Communicate project changes and updates to technicians in the field.

Escalate major issues, delays, safety concerns, or customer-related issues to management.

Maintain accurate project records, technician assignments, and completion reports.

Coordinate additional technicians or resources when projects fall behind schedule.

Help ensure projects are completed within established deadlines and budgets.

Conduct post-project reviews and identify recurring field issues or opportunities for improvement.

Maintain professional communication with clients, retail contacts, technicians, and internal management.

FIELD TEAM MANAGEMENT

Manage and communicate with multiple technicians working in different locations.

Provide technicians with clear instructions and expectations before each assignment.

Confirm technicians have the required tools, equipment, materials, and project information.

Monitor technician performance and reliability.

Address scheduling conflicts, call-offs, no-shows, and other staffing issues.

Assist with recruiting and onboarding qualified field technicians when needed.

Maintain a reliable network of technicians available for future projects.

PROJECT COORDINATION

Review project scopes and translate requirements into clear field instructions.

Build technician schedules and store assignments.

Coordinate multi-location rollouts and weekend deployments.

Track project milestones and completion percentages.

Identify potential delays before they impact the project.

Coordinate last-minute schedule changes and technician replacements.

Ensure all required photos, reports, and completion documentation are submitted.

Provide management with regular project status updates.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience in retail merchandising, field services, installation, construction, project coordination, or a related field.

Previous experience coordinating field technicians or traveling teams preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and locations simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Comfortable working with deadlines and changing priorities.

Proficient with email, spreadsheets, smartphones, and basic computer applications.

Experience using field-service, workforce management, or project management platforms is a plus.

Ability to communicate professionally with technicians, customers, and management.

Retail installation or merchandising experience is highly preferred.
