Job description

We are seeking experienced Lead installation technicians who are personable, have good communication skills, love leading others to success, and are proud of the quality of their work.

Preferred candidates will have three to five years' experience in at least one of the following:

  1. Leadership: Leading small teams for the installation of low voltage cabling and/or security device installations
  2. Cabling: Standards based installation of low voltage cables for Network infrastructure, Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Audio/Video Systems.
  3. Electrical Work: Installation of various low voltage devices such as security cameras, card readers, door locks, racks, cable tray and conduit.
  4. Tools and Equipment: Safely operate and use of hand tools, powered hand tools, ladders, lifts, and company vehicles.

Regional Notes:

  • Nashville Area – Lead Technicians meet at the SI Main office each day. Vehicles are checked out daily.

Day to Day Responsibilities include:

  • Lead one to two installation technicians to meet high quality standards of installation
  • Install cabling, security devices, and low voltage equipment in existing and new construction
  • Commission, test, and document installations using cable testers, video monitors, and remote support.
  • Assist in onsite tracking of materials used on the job site.
  • Report time used and progress of installation to Lead Technicians, Project Leaders, and Project Managers using computer or phone applications as required.
  • Assist in on the Job training for installation technicians.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience running cables in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and complete overhead work for long periods of time.

Payroll:

  • Employees Paid Weekly – Direct Deposit.

Vacation Accrual:

  • Accrual time based on Anniversary date – December 31.
  • Begins accruing time after 90 days.
  • If vacation is not used, it is paid out at the end of the year.

1 year- 5 days of Vacation (40 hours)

2 years- 10 days of Vacation (80 hours)

15 years- 15 days of Vacation (120 hours)

9 Paid Holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • July 4th
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving (2 Days)
  • Christmas (2 Days)

Sick Time:

  • Accrual starts after 90 days.
  • Accrue 4 hours per month
  • Sick time rolls over into next year up to a 96 hours (12 days) cap.

Insurance/ HSA Account:

  • Eligible after 60 days
  • Life- $25,000 policy paid by SI
  • Medical, Dental, & Vision available
  • 80% of premium covered by SI - remainder & dependents will be paid through payroll deduction.
  • Company contribution into HSA quarterly- $15/Month $45/Quarter $180/year.
  • Supplemental Options are available

401k Profit Share:

  • Elective employee contribution through payroll deduction
  • Up to $22,500/year
  • $30,000 /year over age 50
  • Company will contribute 3% of salary Safe Harbor yearly, and the potential of 2% profit share at the end of the year.
