Fiber Installation Helper
Nashville, TN | Large Commercial Stadium Project
Position Overview
We are seeking Fiber Installation Helpers to support a large-scale fiber optic installation project in Nashville, TN.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the telecommunications and fiber optic industry. Helpers will work alongside experienced fiber technicians and splicers, assisting with fiber installation activities, material handling, lift spotting, site logistics, and general project support.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable working in active construction environments, and willing to learn from experienced telecommunications professionals.
Responsibilities
  • Assist fiber technicians and splicers with daily installation activities
  • Spot technicians operating lifts and elevated work platforms
  • Support fiber pulling operations throughout the project
  • Stage, organize, and transport materials throughout the job site
  • Assist with routing fiber through pathways and cable management systems
  • Maintain safe work areas around lifts and installation activities
  • Help load, unload, and distribute materials and equipment
  • Perform general site cleanup and housekeeping
  • Follow directions from project leads and supervisors
  • Adhere to all site safety requirements and procedures
Qualifications
Required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in a construction environment
  • Ability to lift and carry materials throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working around ladders and aerial lifts
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Preferred
  • Previous construction, labor, warehouse, or telecommunications experience
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Lift Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Experience working on commercial construction sites

Assistance with certain certifications may be available as needed.
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • Approximately 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Overtime may be available based on project demands
PPE Requirements
Candidates must provide:
  • Work boots

Required PPE may include:
  • Hard hat
  • Safety vest
  • Safety glasses
  • Gloves

Reimbursement may be available for required PPE items excluding work boots.
