Job description

Position Summary

As an Installation Technician, you will install HVAC systems in new and used school and commercial shuttle buses. This includes mounting and connecting components like compressors, condensers, evaporators, pulleys, hoses, and electrical systems. You will work in a hands-on, shop environment, both independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.  
Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a shop environment with your hands
  • Accurately install components on buses
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
  • Work with a safety mindset
  • Properly maintain company owned building, tools & equipment
  • Successfully communicate with Location Manager, Office Staff and Team Members
  • Complete work in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform other tasks as required
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of mechanical or electrical experience.  
  • Working knowledge of hand, battery operated and pneumatic tools
  • Previous experience as a technician or mechanic is a plus.  
  • Working knowledge of A/C systems and components is a plus.  
  • You must provide your own basic hand tools.  
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and manuals.  
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills.  
  • Technical School, 609 Certification, CDL plus.  
  • Comfortable with frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
