Summary:

The Electrician Helper will install electrical wiring and assembles components in control cabinets according to drawings and wiring diagrams, squares and aligns terminal blocks etc., connect color coded wires to PLC and other devices, tests and adjusts electrical assemblies using electrician's hand tools and test equipment, cuts, strips, bends and forms wire cable, layout and install electrical conduit and cable tray using hacksaw, band saw, pipe cutters, pipe threader, mechanical or hydraulic pipe bender, inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment.

Responsibilities of the Electrician Helper include, but are not limited to:

The Electrician Helper is responsible for assisting electricians by performing tasks of on-the-job. 

  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics but not limited to P&ID's.
  • Cut, thread, and bend electrical conduits.
  • Cut trays.
  • Connect power cables to equipment using hand tools.
  • Connects wiring, electrical devices, and power equipment using hand tools.
  • Performs assigned plant housekeeping duties to comply with company procedures and requirements
  • All other duties and assignments assigned.
  • Knowledge of trade.
  • MUST HAVE own tools!!

 Qualifications of the Electrician Helper include, but are not limited to:

  • Must have some experience with trade
  • Provide a copy of your social security card or birth certificate or another approved document
  • Provide a copy of your photo driver's license or other approved photo identification.
