Job description

Magic Spoon reimagines your childhood breakfasts favorites with more protein, less sugar, and more fun. Since launching in 2019, we've brought our unbelievably tasty cereal to over one million customers online and over 20,000 stores nationwide. With our recently launched Protein Treats and Protein Granola we're continuing to find new ways to make mornings magical - all made possible by our incredible team.

We're looking for an experienced content creator to join our team and shape how Magic Spoon shows up online. Reporting to our Head of Brand Management, you'll create scroll-stopping content across TikTok and Instagram that brings our brand's creativity, nostalgia, and point of view to life. Deeply tapped into social trends and platform best practices, you'll be comfortable taking creative swings, experimenting with new ideas, getting scrappy when needed, and owning the content creation process from concept to shoot, edit, and publish.

This is a full time, in-person/hybrid role (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office) based in Tribeca, NYC.

As Social Media Content Producer, you'll:

  • Concept, film, edit, and publish content, including short form videos and copy, that delivers against strategy and brand tone/guardrails, bringing Magic Spoon’s personality to life across Instagram and TikTok
    • Must be comfortable in front of the camera as needed (most work likely won’t require face on camera)- eg street interviewing, in office content, etc
  • Stay on top of what's happening online (trends, audio, cultural moments) and identify smart, timely stand-out ways for Magic Spoon to join in on the conversation
  • Manage the social content calendar, including recommending content pillars and cadence, aiming to accelerate the reach and engagement on Instagram and TikTok
  • Ideate and execute brand collabs and giveaways, based on pillars and key moments
  • Source, brief, and manage select external creators to product content
  • Launch and manage a weekly brainstorm with marketing team members to ideate, pitch and develop new content ideas
  • Manage monthly social reporting, specifically around content performance insights
  • Community Management - partner with CX team to infuse brand tone of voice in guidelines, as well as engage with brand content comments and DMs in a way that is on brand, positive, and timely
  • Partner with TOF lead to identify influencer collabs

Requirements

    • 2-5 years of experience with a proven track record of growing a brand’s presence and engagement on Instagram and TikTok
    • Must be comfortable with UGC including filming, editing and being on camera
    • Demonstrated experience working with video editing platforms such as CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Up to date with social media trends and what’s working and trending on TikTok and Instagram
    • Proven ability to be a creative and innovative thinker including excellence in concepting & copywriting
    • A love of all things fitness, healthy eating, and knowledge about key creators and brands in the better for you space

Magic Spoon intends to offer competitive base pay within the stated range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. To further compensate and recognize our employees for their work, our total compensation package includes equity and a robust benefits package. The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $75,000-$115,000.
