Heritage Auctions is seeking a creative, hands-on Content Producer to own and produce social content for our Entertainment division.

ROLE SUMMARY: This role blends videographer, editor, and content creator, responsible for concepting, capturing, and delivering high-quality, social-first video and static content that brings our experts, stories, and categories to life, particularly across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.


The ideal candidate is both a strong visual storyteller and a technically skilled shooter, with experience operating professional camera systems, lighting, and audio, and a deep understanding of platform-native content.

LOCATION: South of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, NW corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane

Travel Requirement: requires regular on-site production in both our Los Angeles and Dallas offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Ownership & Creation
  • Own and produce social-first content for our Entertainment category.
  • Create short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), as well as supporting static and motion assets.
  • Concept, script, shoot, edit, deliver, and post content optimized for each platform.
  • Develop compelling, personality-driven content that highlights expertise, storytelling, and cultural relevance.
Production (End-to-End)
  • Lead all aspects of production, including pre-production planning, shooting, lighting, audio capture, and post-production.
  • Operate professional camera systems (e.g., Sony, Blackmagic) and associated gear.
  • Execute high-quality lighting setups for both people and products, including reflective or detailed subjects.
  • Capture clean, professional audio in a variety of environments.
  • Produce detailed product and macro imagery (e.g., jewelry, fashion, collectibles) using controlled lighting and precise focus techniques.
Platform & Performance Focus
  • Create platform-optimized content tailored to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Apply strong hook-driven storytelling and editing techniques to maximize engagement.
  • Analyze performance metrics (views, retention, engagement) and iterate on content strategy.
  • Stay current on social trends, formats, and emerging tools (including AI-assisted workflows).
Collaboration & Execution
  • Partner with Social Media, Marketing, Communications, and category experts to align content with brand and business goals.
  • Direct on-camera talent, including coaching for delivery and performance.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain organized workflows, project files, and media libraries.
Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in video production, social content creation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience producing short-form, platform-native content.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both video production and social storytelling.
Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience with professional camera systems (Sony, Blackmagic, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of lighting techniques for video and product photography.
  • Experience capturing high-quality audio on set.
  • Proficiency in editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of motion graphics and visual design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc.).
Skills & Strengths
  • Strong storytelling instincts with an eye for pacing, composition, and engagement.
  • Ability to balance creative quality with speed and volume.
  • Comfortable working with executives, experts, and on-camera talent.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and proactive.
