Become a Key Player as a Quality Inspector 2

You will ensure products meet technical and regulatory quality standards by performing inspections and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams onsite in Simi Valley on a M–Th schedule (5:00am–3:30pm) and may occasionally support variable shifts, nights or weekends. Your work will help reduce defects, improve process reliability, and support compliance with aviation and aerospace quality standards.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
  • Conduct examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components at various production stages to verify compliance with specifications
  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
  • Use gauges, calipers, micrometers, torque ranges, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Participate in statistical analysis of process data to confirm compliance or identify deviations
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for acceptance/rejection of inspected/tested items
  • Implement and maintain technical quality assurance procedures and corrective action follow-ups
  • Conduct internal audits and report quality concerns, design or process inefficiencies
  • Inspect wiring and sensors (force, pressure, etc.) and perform routine inspections on tooling, piece parts, and final assemblies
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • 2–5 years of relevant quality inspection experience (posting cites 2–4 years and 2–5 years in different places)
  • Experience working in quality inspection or testing, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace or other highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with first article inspection and ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards
  • Skilled in using inspection tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin/block gages, V-blocks, surface tables, comparators)
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T language
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective oral and written communication and ability to follow detailed instructions
