Job description

Hiring an experienced carpenter to join a small commercial construction company in Hilo. We do all phases of construction from form to finish. Mostly tenant improvements and renovations of commercial offices and warehouses. Most of the work is in Hilo but we travel the hamakua coast and sometimes to Kona. Must have own tools and truck. We also do some State and County work at the prevailing wage rate. Health care offered after probation period. 401k available after one year. Must be a self starter, willing to take direction, work effectively solo at times, and be available for full time work.

We work hard but also take time to enjoy our family and free time in Hawaii. We are looking for the right team member to join this team for long term not just a short term project.

Company Description

We are a small commercial contractor located in Hilo. We do mostly tenant improvement for the hospital system, UHH, keck observatory, and doctors offices. We do have some prevailing wage jobs as well. Most of the work is located in Hilo, but we do some work in Waimea, occasionally in Kona, and sometimes at the summit.
