Description:

Ascentec is hiring! Do you have strong attention to detail skills? We are looking for a Quality Inspector II to join our team! This is a critical position within the company and presents a great opportunity for someone to provide final assurance to all our valued customers that their products are being provided with the highest level of quality possible. Please note that preference will be given to candidates that have experience working in a manufacturing setting, but this is not required.


Two shifts are available:

Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.


This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To include but not limited to the following:

  • Receiving, In-process and Final inspections
  • Primary operator for the dedicated metrology equipment – Optical comparator etc.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret internal and customer provided mechanical prints including GD&T
  • Intermediate experience with a wide variety of metrology equipment including Optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.
  • Visual Product Inspections – Surface Cosmetics of Plated/Painted and bare material parts
  • Experience with operating manual and/or automated CMM
  • Generate Clear and concise Non-conformance Reports
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior machinist experience
