Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Inspector III to work out of our San Antonio, TX office on an on-site basis. 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties. Performs field inspections and/or audit duties and maintains inspection records. Ensures all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability in reading highway engineering construction plans.                                                                                                                
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for meeting project deadlines.
  • Provides on the job training to new employees.
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
  • Tracks quality assurance progress.
  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.                                                                                                               
  • A valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of TxDOT plans and specifications.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • ACI Concrete Field Technician Certification.
  • ACI Concrete Strength Technician Certification.
  • TxAPA Level 1B Certification.
  • TEEX Work Zone Traffic Control Certification.
  • Many or all of the TxDOT EMS Certifications or equivalent SWP3 Certifications.
  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
