Job description

Inspection Assistant / Production Support

Location: Troy, MI Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday 6:30 AM–3:00 PM Pay: $20/hr
Job Summary
We are hiring an Inspection Assistant in Troy, MI to support nondestructive testing and production operations. In this role, you will assist Inspectors with inspections, material handling, cleaning, shipping/receiving, and preparation of parts for processing. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a manufacturing and inspection environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Assist Inspectors with nondestructive testing processes
• Load, unload, package, and stage customer materials and parts
• Prepare parts for processing, including pre-cleaning
• Arrange and move metal parts into baskets, tanks, or machines
• Assist with magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspection processes
• Maintain clean work areas, machines, and equipment
• Operate or assist with material handling and production equipment
• Perform general facility and equipment maintenance as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and work instructions

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or labor experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math and problem-solving skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable working around machinery, chemicals, and industrial equipment
