Job description

A well-established fire protection company is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler & Backflow Inspector to support commercial, industrial, and institutional customers throughout the region.

This position offers a combination of sprinkler inspections, backflow testing, customer interaction, and field-based problem solving. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Active Idaho Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certification
  • Experience: 2+ years of fire sprinkler or backflow inspection experience
  • NICET II or higher (Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems)
  • NFPA Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI-I) preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB DETAIL:

  • Inspect, test, and certify backflow prevention assemblies
  • Verify proper operation of valves, sprinkler heads, and other system components
  • Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards and safety requirements
  • Communicate findings and note deficiencies to customers and internal team
  • Travel within the service area with occasional overnightsย
