Description
Role Overview
This role drives global partnership development across the medical (imaging and embedded) systems ecosystem. You will build and manage relationships with semiconductor companies, software vendors, innovation partners and medical device manufacturers.
Unlike a pure BD role, this position requires strong, proven technical design experience-enabling you to engage credibly with engineering teams, influence product direction, and translate complex technologies into commercial opportunities.
You will convert partner roadmaps and market trends into actionable insights for Product Marketing and Executive Management. The role requires ~25-30% travel.
Key Responsibilities
Global Partnerships & Business Development (Primary - ~70%)
  • Identify growth opportunities, innovations and trends in medical, dental and health monitoring markets
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with semiconductor vendors, embedded platform providers, computer vision, AI and AR ecosystem partners
  • Identify and execute partnership opportunities that drive design wins and revenue growth
  • Engage deeply with partner engineering teams to align on architectures, integration, and product roadmaps to ensure our medical imaging solutions are "first-in-line" for integration
  • Analyse partner roadmaps, technology trends, and competitive landscape; deliver clear insights to Product Marketing and Executive teams
  • Represent the company in customer engagements, partner reviews, and industry events

Market Expansion & Strategic Initiatives (Secondary - ~30%)
  • Identify emerging technologies and partnership for expansion into adjacent markets including Dental Imaging, Medical AI, Medical AR, Health Monitoring, Multispectral Imaging etc.
  • Contribute to global go-to-market strategies

Qualifications & Experience
Technical Expertise (Non-negotiable)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in:
  • Embedded systems design
  • Semiconductor or SoC platforms
  • Imaging / Image Signal Processing (ISP) or Computer Vision
  • Medical devices or regulated hardware systems (strong plus)
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, algorithms. including hardware-software integration

Preferred Technical Depth
  • Exposure to DSP, AI/ML, or vision processing pipelines
  • Familiarity with optics, image sensor, image signal processing and camera systems

Commercial & Leadership Skills
  • Proven track record in business development, technical marketing, or product-facing roles
  • Ability to influence both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills-able to translate engineering detail into business value
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a global, cross-functional environment

Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $150,000 - $190,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
