Inside Sales Representative
Location: Clackamas, OR
Join Our Team!
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Clackamas team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for retail customers, providing exceptional service, product expertise, and sales support. You will help customers find the right products for their projects, prepare estimates and quotes, process orders, and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to retail customers through walk-in interactions, telephone calls, and email communications.
  • Assist customers with product selection, pricing, availability, returns, and exchanges using knowledge of company products and services.
  • Actively promote and sell building materials, products, services, and related solutions.
  • Prepare material estimates and quotes for projects such as decks, fences, stairs, sheds, and other small-scale construction projects.
  • Enter customer orders accurately and coordinate delivery scheduling.
  • Manage daily workload efficiently to meet productivity, project, and team goals.
  • Support customer engagement initiatives, including workshops and educational events.
  • Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Assist with store operations, including merchandising, signage, inventory management, stocking, and general housekeeping.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while promoting a safe work environment for employees and customers.

Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of sales, customer service, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while multitasking in a busy retail environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn order-entry systems.

Preferred
  • Knowledge of building materials, lumber, hardware, or construction-related products.
  • Experience preparing estimates and quotes for residential building projects.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Combination of office, retail, warehouse, and outdoor work environments.
  • Exposure to varying weather and temperature conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
  • May occasionally operate tools and equipment such as hand tools, saws, forklifts, and pallet jacks to assist customers.
