They use phone calls, emails, video conferencing, and other digital communication tools to connect with potential and existing customers. Their responsibilities include generating leads, nurturing client relationships, closing sales, and meeting revenue targets. Inside Sales Executives often collaborate with marketing and field sales teams to ensure a seamless sales process and customer satisfaction.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an inside sales executive?

To thrive as an Inside Sales Executive, you need strong communication, persuasive selling skills, and a solid understanding of sales processes, often supported by a degree in business or marketing. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce, lead generation tools, and sales analytics software is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, resilience, and the ability to build rapport over the phone or online make someone stand out in this role. These skills are crucial for efficiently managing sales pipelines, converting leads, and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.

How does an inside sales executive typically collaborate with other departments to achieve sales targets?

Inside Sales Executives work closely with marketing teams to generate and qualify leads, often participating in campaign feedback and strategy sessions. They also coordinate with customer service and account management to ensure a smooth onboarding process and ongoing client satisfaction. Regular collaboration with product or technical teams is common, especially when addressing customer inquiries or tailoring solutions to client needs. This cross-functional teamwork is essential for meeting sales goals and providing a seamless customer experience.

THE JOB

When a pipe bursts at midnight or a kitchen fire fills a house with smoke, the first thing a property owner does is pick up the phone. You are who they reach.

As Inside Sales Coordinator, you take that call, get the story straight, and turn a stressful phone conversation into a crew on the way. Some calls you will handle start to finish โ€” gather the details, get the paperwork signed electronically, and put a truck on the schedule before you hang up. Others need a person on site, and you will dispatch one of our field specialists with everything they need to help.

This is not a script-reading call center job. You are trusted to ask good questions, make the judgment call on how each job gets handled, and own the outcome. It is the busiest seat in the building and the one where the work actually starts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Answer inbound calls from property owners, property managers, insurance adjusters, and referral partners โ€” often while they are in the middle of an active emergency.
  • Gather the full picture of the loss: what happened, when, how bad, who owns the decision, and how soon we can get in.
  • Decide the fastest good path forward, schedule the crew directly, send a field specialist out, or connect the caller with the right person on our team.
  • Respond quickly to online inquiries from our website, Google, and home service platforms. Speed matters here; the first company to call back usually gets the work.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and production on crew availability so the arrival time you promise is the arrival time we hit.
  • Follow up with customers who are still deciding, so nobody falls through the cracks.
  • Keep our records clean and complete, accurate notes are what let the rest of the team do their jobs well.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We will teach you restoration. We cannot teach someone to be calm and kind on the phone when a stranger is having the worst day of their year. That part you bring.

  • 2+ years in inside sales, customer service, dispatch, scheduling, insurance intake, or a similar phone-based role.
  • A steady, reassuring phone presence. You can slow someone down, get them talking, and pull the details you need without making them feel interrogated.
  • Real attention to detail. You take good notes and you get names, addresses, and numbers right the first time.
  • Comfort with technology. You can learn a new system quickly and work in it all day without fighting it.
  • Good judgment under pressure. You can make a decision with incomplete information and know when to escalate instead of guessing.
  • Willingness to share a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule. Emergencies do not keep business hours, and neither do we.
HELPFUL, BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • Background in restoration, insurance, property management, or construction.
  • Experience dispatching crews or scheduling against capacity.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
WHY RESTORATION ALLIANCE

We are an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Business & Elite ServiceMaster franchise serving six counties across Western Washington from two locations. We show up when things go wrong โ€” water, fire, mold, storm damage โ€” and we put peopleโ€™s homes and businesses back together.

  • The work matters. Every call you take is somebodyโ€™s home or livelihood. You will hang up the phone knowing you helped.
  • Room to grow. This role sits at the center of our sales organization. People who do it well move into field sales, account management, and operations leadership.
  • A real team. Small enough that your work is visible, established enough to be stable. You will know the crews you dispatch by name.
  • Training provided. We will teach you the industry, the terminology, and the systems. Certification support is available.
  • Real benefits that matter. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and a monthly performance bonus, because people who take care of others deserve to be taken care of too.
