Job description

FSSI is looking for a full-time Custom (Mail) Insert Operator to join our team in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for manually folding and inserting confidential documentation into envelopes or packages by hand, as specified by work order. The operator is also responsible for processing all mail based on designated postage rates using the equipment provided.

Full time schedule: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Overtime is scheduled as needed, and could require coming in earlier, staying later, and working weekend shifts during high-volume production cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fold and insert requests with proper inserts according to checklist instructions.
  • Operate postage machinery or equivalent to apply appropriate postage to processed mail pieces based on the specifications on the mailing checklist.
  • Ensure that all documents are output in an efficient and timely manner according to the specified instructions.
  • Scan mail pieces as required.
  • Process and ship outgoing small package parcels such as UPS, USPS and Federal Express.
  • Deliver completed work to QA for sign off.
  • Assist the department with additional work, as needed and/or requested.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced mail room environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, strong time management, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, and basic PC literacy.
  • Must exhibit a strong customer service philosophy and attitude.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Work effectively independently and as a member of a team and work with all levels of employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently. Specific vision required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
