Role
This role is for a Data Analyst on a close-knit team supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) at Hurlburt Field, FL. This team is at the center of helping the command empower and leverage its data for more effective analysis and decision making. As a subject matter expert, the Data Analyst will leverage their experience to gather and derive insights from complex data, assist the command with development initiatives, and facilitate digital transformation efforts. The work done in this role has a direct impact on mission readiness as the team's efforts go toward making a more resilient and data-driven organization.
Responsibilities
Data Analysts are responsible for querying, engineering, and analyzing data in accordance with data management policies to support mission and business functions and tasks.
Data Analysts will perform the following duties:
โ€ข Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting
โ€ข Collect customer requirements
โ€ข Determine technical issues
โ€ข Design algorithms and data manipulation capabilities using R, Python, C++, JavaScript, Go, and other known programming languages
โ€ข Build data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers to monitor and report on data
โ€ข Improve the quality of data use and usability by driving an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
โ€ข Work collaboratively with other data coworkers to produce qualitative and quantitative data that support SOCOM and AFSOC products.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-year experience is required.
  • Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a computer science discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience providing services similar in required tasks, scope, and complexity.
  • At least "Interim Secret" w/in 30 days of hire is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Python, PowerBI, Advana, or Envision
  • Top Secret clearance eligible for SCI is preferred.

Salary Range: $58,000 - $138,000
