About Planes Companies
At Planes Companies, we believe there is always a better way. We are seeking an Operational Innovation Analyst to help transform how we work by identifying opportunities, solving operational challenges, and driving meaningful business improvements across the organization.
This is not a traditional analyst role where recommendations are handed off to someone else for implementation. You'll own initiatives from concept to completion, partnering with frontline employees, department leaders, and senior executives to design, implement, and measure solutions that deliver lasting results.
If you're a natural problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys turning data into action, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
As an Operational Innovation Analyst, you will evaluate business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that increase efficiency, strengthen safety, and enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate operational processes and conduct root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Design and implement end-to-end business solutions, from requirements gathering through user acceptance testing and deployment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, standardization, and modernization.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, resource coordination, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Partner with managers and Human Resources to develop and deliver training programs that support organizational growth and development.
  • Facilitate meetings and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather insights, build consensus, and drive successful outcomes.
  • Develop reports, presentations, dashboards, and business cases that communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of implemented solutions and demonstrate ROI through data-driven analysis.
  • Support software implementation and process standardization efforts throughout the company.
  • Coordinate with department managers to ensure strategic initiatives are completed on time and within budget.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and problem-solving.
  • Support company objectives through additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, operational analysis, financial analysis, process improvement, or a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Complex formulas and functions
    • Financial modeling
    • Data analysis
    • Dashboard creation and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting software implementation or business systems optimization projects.
  • Experience presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who continually asks: "Is there a better way?"
The ideal candidate is:
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Data-driven and results-oriented
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change
  • Humble and team-focused
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo to improve results
Work Environment
  • Full-time salaried exempt position
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • On-site in Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require
  • Some local and national travel required
