Banquet Server
Reports to: Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Banquet Captain
Job Type: Seasonal, Part-Time, Hourly
The Bay View Inn is now hiring for the 2026 Summer Season.
Job Summary:
Carry out duties to support the smooth running of banquet events, ensuring guest satisfaction by meeting the high standards of customer care offered by the Bay View Inn .
Job Responsibilities:
  • Execute tasks and jobs designated by the supervisor or management to the required standard.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness of the venue by cleaning tables and chairs, vacuuming and mopping floors, and dusting fixtures
  • Prepare for meal service by polishing plates, glasses, and cutlery, setting up server stations, and keeping items stocked
  • Check guest orders for accuracy and notify the kitchen of any issues
  • Help with wine and/or champagne service, deliver food and beverages to guests, and clear tables after each course.
  • Handle customer complaints and requests in a professional manner and bring them to the attention of the supervisor.
  • Have a good knowledge of the food and beverages the restaurant provides. Training will be in place to familiarize staff with the dishes and wines, but it is ultimately up to the restaurant staff to learn the menus and communicate them effectively to the guests.
  • Comply at all times with the Food Safety Code.
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude at all times.
  • Seek to ensure at all times that all guests on our properties have the best experience possible.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of the job, such as standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs, carrying trays and heavy objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Have at least 1 year of food and beverage serving experience.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Follow instructions provided for each specific event.
