Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Tolleson, AZ
Type: Full-time

What You'll Do:
The Injection Molding Process Engineer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment to produce high-quality injection molded products. This role plays a key part in launching new programs, refining existing operations, and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, the Process Engineer mentors and trains team members, evaluates process effectiveness, and communicates insights and results to management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and implement new and existing processes to enhance quality, productivity, and equipment efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to process technicians, operators, and other molding personnel.
  • Author and maintain clear, comprehensive process documentation for cross-functional understanding and execution.
  • Troubleshoot and develop molding processes independently, including start-up and shutdown of production equipment.
  • Collaborate with equipment and material vendors to diagnose and resolve operational challenges.
  • Monitor injection mold performance, recommending maintenance or refurbishment based on usage data and performance metrics.
  • Interface with customers to resolve technical issues and provide updates on project progress.
  • Apply statistical methods and data-driven solutions to meet customer expectations for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Support site-wide initiatives in safety, environmental compliance, and ergonomic improvements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred, with 3-5 years of hands-on injection molding experience; equivalent education and experience considered.
  • Strong background in injection molding processing, tooling, materials, machinery, and quality systems.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and drive process improvements.
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • RJG Master Molder certification is a plus.
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring process technicians is preferred.
