Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Removes part from machine or line and inspects for quality defects

2. Buff, spray, trim, perform alcohol wipe, or torch part as required in work instructions

3. May assemble parts if required (I.e. adding hardware or various components, both manually and by machine) per work instructions

4. Mark/label all parts as specified in work instructions/boundary samples

5. Prepare part for shipment according to work instructions (I.e. place in bag, box, rack, pallet)

6. Maintain production totals on paperwork, recording good parts, scrap, and reasons

7. Input production data into computer

8. Maintain housekeeping at work station (sweeping, picking up trash, keeping work surface clean, mopping, cleaning machine)

9. Follow safety procedures set forth for job, using all required personal protective equipment (glasses, gloves, etc.)

10. May perform secondary / re-work / repair of defective product in QC hold environment as required

11. May perform secondary or service pack of product as required

12. Maintain production status boards

13. Follows and supports quality, environmental, health and safety requirements applicable to the job

14. Any additional duties as assigned by supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must maintain regular and predictable attendance, including frequent overtime

2. Must be able to stand continuously

3. Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, overhead reach, pull, push

4. Must have good visual acuity to recognize color, preparing paperwork, viewing computer terminal

5. Must be able to use both hands in holding and trimming parts including repetitive motion, picking, grasping, gripping, fingering small parts and components; using utility knife, buff pad, or propane torch

6. Medium work job that includes lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, exerting 20 lbs force occasionally

7. Must be able to use various industrial cleaners and degreasers for machine cleaning

8. Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics

9. Must be able to speak and hear; must be able to communicate in oral and written form

10. Subject to inside environmental conditions; fumes, dust, smoke (with exhaust)

11. Subject to moving machinery, equipment, forklifts, motorized carts

TECHNICAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Previous manufacturing experience desired

2. Previous experience in plastic injection mold to recognize various types of defects desired
