Injection Mold Jobs in Seattle, WA (NOW HIRING)

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for starting and re-starting jobs using established processes, adjusting processing parameters, and setting up and tearing down molds in various injection molding machines. This role requires proficiency in using the ERP system (IQMS) and the ability to generate work orders for mold or equipment repair.

• Start or re-start jobs using an established process with minimal start-up rejects.
• Adjust processing parameters within defined limits to maintain a consistent and quality product.
• Purge machines completely clean for material transitions.
• Efficiently set up and tear down molds in various injection molding machines.
• Follow cooling diagrams and route coolant lines efficiently.
• Verify and set up auxiliary equipment properly.
• Use a variety of hand tools safely and appropriately.
• Generate work orders for mold or equipment repair.
• Record scrap and time spent on tasks accurately.
• Consistently clean molds, presses, auxiliary equipment, and the production floor.
• Identify and correct obvious reject conditions.
• Operate injection molding machines to support production needs.
• Assist in giving operator breaks during staffing shortages.
• Properly stage and store molds, auxiliary equipment, and materials.
• Perform responsibilities of Material Handler and Setup Technician during staffing shortages.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Perform all tasks safely, including using PPE when necessary.

• Effective communication in English.
• Ability to keep accurate quantity records.
• Basic to intermediate math skills.
• Knowledge of resin properties and basic mold components.
• Intermediate mechanical and computer skills.
• Team-oriented and action-driven.
• Motivated self-starter with dependable attendance.

• Knowledge of blueprint reading.
• Experience with injection molding machines and plastic production.

The work environment includes working with various technologies and equipment such as injection molding machines and ERP systems. The role involves standard working hours with opportunities to assist in different roles during staffing shortages. Safety is a top priority, and appropriate PPE is provided and required for certain tasks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Tacoma, WA.

The pay range for this position is $59800.00 - $72280.00/yr.
