Job description

Delta Technologies is an industry leading tooling company who is searching for a Cost Estimator who will develop cot estimates of injection mold tooling and assess customer data for cost drivers. Our customers are automotive manufacturers and suppliers in one of the fastest growing automotive regions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates and price quotations on new work and engineering changes
  • Coordinate preparation of cost estimates on project continuations
  • Estimate the cost of labor and materials from CAD data and specifications provided
  • Collect information for proper quotations from external sources
  • Develop internal and external RFQ’s and manage the RFQ process with the supply chain department
  • Utilize cost estimating models
  • Estimate COGS and profit margin
  • Determine lead times
  • Estimate and settle tooling change orders
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in processing new tool RFQ’s and assessing product designs for feasibility
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents
  • 2D/2D design viewer experience
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of injection mold build processes
  • Understanding of the mold manufacturing process to effectively estimate design, machining, material costs and manufacturing hours
  • Experience with Catia or Unigraphics or similar viewer software
