Atlas Molded Products, a Division of Atlas Roofing Corporation, specializes in the development and manufacture of innovative, high-quality, HFC- and HCGC- free Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation for construction, packaging, and original equipment management (OEM) products. Atlas EPS insulation is suitable for interior and exterior construction applications, various packaging uses and as part of manufactured systems, such as recreational vehicles, garage and pedestrian doors and sunroom panels.
Atlas Roofing Corporation, a privately owned company established in 1982, is an international and multi-divisional manufacturer of roofing, sheathing, facer, and insulation product solutions.
Atlas Molded Products is seeking an AutoCAD Designer & Sales Estimator (Geofoam) for the Byron Center, MI or Kansas City, KS, or Arlington, Texas or Fond du Lac Wisconsin or Washington, Iowa facilities. The position can be at any of the above locations.
Working with Sales Reps, Customer Service, the AutoCAD Designer & Sales Estimator's primary responsibility is to work cooperatively with and outside sales on Constructionproduct projects and to serve as the point of contact for customer correspondence regarding projects and design aspects.
AutoCAD Designer & Sales Estimator Primary Responsibilities
  • Create accurate quotes.
  • Create accurate, Geofoam layout shop drawings in use with concrete, civil, landscaping, & plaza decking.
  • Work cooperatively with sales support associates and outside sales in all territories when expertise is needed on industrial product projects.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customer correspondence regarding projects and design aspects, and contact customers as needed for additional information.
  • Participate in conference or web-based calls as needed to discuss design options or details of projects.
  • Keep organized records for all design projects in files and computer form.
  • Maintain 2D and/or 3D modeling skills by attending classes as needed, stay up to date with latest technology for software, technique, or EPS materials, and present new technology to superiors for review.

AutoCAD Designer & Sales Estimator Experience
  • Must have 2 years of work experience with computer aided drafting programs such as AutoCAD and/or Taper Plus.
  • Experience using PlanSwift material take-off software is a plus.
  • Building products and industrial product experience is preferred.

AutoCAD Designer & Sales Estimator Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Must exhibit ability to concisely communicate with customers and coworkers in clear and organized manner.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Must be computer literate: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must be adept using computer aided drafting programs such as, AutoCAD and/or Taper Plus.

AutoCAD Designer & Sales Estimator Education, Licenses & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
