Job description

Registered Nurse – Oncology

Location: Moab, Utah
Position Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Day Shifts
Starting Pay: $31 – $44.88/hour (DOE)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (with 2-year service agreement)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care per protocols and organizational mission

  • Assess patient health before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion

  • Administer complex and routine infusion therapies safely

  • Monitor vital signs and patient responses, managing side effects

  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care and discharge planning

  • Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding of treatments

  • Implement and evaluate patient care plans

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives

  • Serve as preceptor for new hires and nursing students

  • Maintain professional development through continuing education

  • Float between oncology/infusion and wound care departments

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current RN license in Utah or compact state (unencumbered)

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain within 3 months)

  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (or obtain within 6 months)

  • Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to manage rapid change

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Professionalism in handling confidential or stressful situations

  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
