Job description


New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is currently seeking a full time 40 hr 5 Day a week Remote Non- Oncology Infusion Coordinator. Non-Oncology Infusion (NOI) Coordinator is responsible for all incoming referrals for non-oncology infusions and scheduling all recurring treatments at all NECS sites. Scheduling and pre-registering NOI patients, obtaining necessary records, and ensuring necessary labs, records, and authorizations are on file prior to treatment dates. Additional duties include answering multi-line phones, triaging calls, resolving issues and answering questions, redirecting callers if necessary, taking detailed messages, and/or forwarding calls to appropriate persons. Manages and resolves appointment conflicts proactively working directly with pharmacist and Financial Advocate. Maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and able to problem solve. Demonstrate superior customer service skills and the ability to be an effective team player

Experience and Skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Process all NOI referrals received by phone, fax, or website.
  • Creating new patient accounts in appropriate systems.
  • Schedule appointments for patients by phone in the appropriate timeframe
  • Schedules treatments in EMR following all scheduling guidelines.
  • Maintains thorough record collection/ chart prep in a timely manner in preparation for visits.
  • Readies orders and patient records for weekend clinic.
  • Successfully maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor under stressful conditions working with a wide range of patient personalities.
  • Uses professional judgment in disclosing information obtained from clients and operates under HIPAA guidelines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge and application of medical terminology required.
  • Previous experience with electronic medical record systems required.
  • Exceptional customer service experience required.
