Position Overview

Location: Lisle, Travel Required

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5

Key Responsibilities

The Infusion Manager provides clinical and operational leadership for clinical practice across the infusion department. This role directly supervises site Supervisors and collaborates closely in setting, implementing, and sustaining high clinical standards across all infusion sites serving both oncology and non-oncology patients. The Infusion Manager ensures safe, evidencebased, compassionate care for oncology and nononcology patients while advancing quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, nursing professional development, operational efficiency, and patient experience.

This role blends strong clinical expertise with business acumen to drive performance, consistency, and excellence across sites.

Clinical Leadership & Standards

  • Serve as the clinical leader for chemotherapy, biologic, and infusion nursing practice across all sites.
  • Ensure all nursing practice aligns with ONS standards, evidencebased guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee clinical competency programs including chemotherapy/biotherapy safety training and annual validations.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of policies, procedures, and clinical workflows across sites.

Quality, Safety & Performance

  • Lead clinical quality initiatives and performance improvement programs across all sites.
  • Monitor and analyze key clinical quality indicators (medication events, NPS, etc)
  • Oversee incident reviews, root cause analyses, and implementation of improvement strategies.
  • Ensure readiness for audits, surveys, and compliance reviews.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build strong collaboration with referring physicians, APPs, pharmacy, operations, and quality teams.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to Site Supervisors.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing development of infusion nursing staff.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across sites to ensure consistent clinical performance.

Operational & Strategic Partnership

  • Partner closely with the Director of Infusion to align clinical excellence with operational performance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, quality, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and workflows.
  • Participate in strategic planning for service line growth, expansion, technology adoption, and service enhancements.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Active RN license (state-specific as applicable)
  • Leadership experience managing clinical teams
  • Strong knowledge of infusion therapy standards, oncology nursing practice, and patient safety principles

Preferred

  • ONS/ONCC certification
  • Experience leading clinical quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Experience working in multi-site infusion or ambulatory care environments

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of 99-149,000, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
