Job description

Job Description What will you do. Provide day to day HANDS-ON application support on deployments and maintain all the test environments by installing, setup and configure internal and vendor provided builds. As required create change management records and detailed deployment steps that will be used for applying changes to the lower environments and production, while adhering to change management standards.

Lead the investigation and analysis of application technical and functional including root cause analysis leading to application or operational failures. Prepare technical impact analysis documentation with impacted interface team and changes and support testing in QA/IST with batch monitoring. Identify risks associated with problem situations and changes to technical upgrades.

Support and work closely with the QA and Development teams by helping promote the build to different environments. Setup, maintain new servers, certificates and database in the lower environments. Execute best practices in investigation, technical escalation, diagnosis, recovery, documentation, communication and transition to Problem Management.

Support and conduct vendor release impact technical assessment, sanity and availability test for application and related infrastructure. Liaise and engage with the infrastructure, middleware and database support teams. Code build and deployment using configuration management tools.

Document for an existing system or new requirement Technical design document ("TDD"). Code delivery - Components covering changed or new requirements. Provide quality assurance ("QA") & user acceptance testing ("UAT") support.

Provide implementation plan, scripts, post implementation verification ("PIV") and post-implementation support. What do you need to succeed. Must have: 3-5 years in depth experience with setup and maintenance Linux and Windows, Linux scripting, deploy jar/ear/.net packages, system monitoring, troubleshooting network or application, etc

Experience with Web Application: IBM WAS (WebSphere), AIX, Apache Tomcat. Microsoft SQL DB or similar. Understanding of SQL queries and able to execute them.

Capability to manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments and prioritize effectively. Quick learner with Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly organized with documentation.

Exposer to JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow Experience with setup of servers in DMZ and firewall setup Experience with SAP setup and configuration Nice to have: Cloud technologies Basic Mainframe knowledge (Ondemand Client, Zeke scheduler, ISPF)
