Senior Project Controls Professional

Tools: Primavera P6 (Expert), Microsoft Office Suite
Experience Required: 10–15+ years of direct Project Controls experience in a relevant industry

About the Role

We’re recruiting an experienced Senior Project Controls Professional to join a high-performing team supporting complex engineering and infrastructure projects. This in-office role requires a self-driven professional who can manage the full scope of project controls—from budgeting and scheduling to cost forecasting, reporting, and earned value analysis.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and financial teams to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met while navigating dynamic project demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project budgets, schedules, and estimates

  • Provide cost control, progress measurement, and forecasting across multiple project phases

  • Utilize Primavera P6 to build and maintain master project schedules

  • Liaise with accounting teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial reporting

  • Prepare earned value management (EVM) reports and performance metrics

  • Support monthly progress updates and client presentations with detailed variance analysis

  • Manage scope changes, track trends, and control budget/schedule deviations

  • Collaborate on proposal development and funding strategies

  • Coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders to develop work breakdown structures (WBS) and control mechanisms

  • Monitor subcontracts, change orders, and contracts for compliance with controls standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Project Controls

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and the full Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong understanding of project cost accounting, scheduling, and earned value principles

  • Experience supporting complex, long-duration projects in engineering, energy, or construction industries

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

This is a high-impact position for a candidate who thrives in a structured but fast-paced project environment and brings deep expertise in both cost and schedule management.
