The Project Coordinator will work closely with Airport Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to support construction-phase coordination, field oversight, and project documentation across multiple concurrent projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with FAA standards, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and approved design specifications, while supporting schedule adherence and cost control.
This is a hands-on, field-integrated role supporting active construction environments, requiring strong coordination across contractors, consultants, and internal airport stakeholders. The position contributes directly to the successful delivery of complex aviation infrastructure programs by enabling efficient communication, proactive issue resolution, and disciplined project controls.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor field construction activities to ensure compliance with design documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Support Project Managers in managing scope, schedule, and budget across multiple active aviation projects
  • Serve as liaison between contractors, consultants, and airport stakeholders (operations, maintenance, security, and other departments)
  • Attend and contribute to Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, progress meetings, and construction coordination sessions
  • Review contractor mobilization plans and provide recommendations prior to Notice to Proceed
  • Maintain and track project schedules, including design reviews, procurement milestones, and construction progress
  • Support constructability reviews and cost evaluations during pre-construction and active construction phases
  • Review contractor QA/QC plans, logistics plans, and safety programs for compliance with project and airport standards
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contract requirements, including quality and safety expectations
  • Assist with change management processes, including scope development and cost review support
  • Support review of Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) components including field costs and general conditions
  • Coordinate construction inspections, punch walks, and issue resolution activities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, weekly work plans, and progress tracking logs
  • Assist with monthly pay application reviews and project reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting aviation or airport infrastructure projects, including airfield or terminal construction
  • Familiarity with construction management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and SharePoint
  • Experience supporting construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, airport safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Experience with construction documentation, submittals, RFIs, and QA/QC processes
  • Exposure to GMP project delivery methods and cost tracking practices
  • Strong understanding of construction safety programs and field coordination practices
